Skin tags are common but harmless small lesions that appear to hang off the skin. These lesions can also develop as we grow older.
Skin tags vary in size, usually measuring from 1mm to 5mm, and can appear on most parts of the body. Tags are commonly found on eyelids, neck, armpits or in any area where there are folds and creases in the skin.
At Dr Emma Clinics, we can remove skin tags in one appointment using advanced electro-surgery (or diathermy) treatment. This treatment heats up the lesion using an electrical current administered by a needle. This allows us to gently remove the lesion from the skin’s surface.
