BBL HERO broadband light therapy will be available at Dr Emma Clinics’ Newry clinic from 24 November 2023.
A non-invasive Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatment that rejuvenates skin at a cellular level to improve the appearance of skin problems in multiple areas from the face to back, legs and arms, BBL HERO is fast and powerful, but also comfortable for patients.
BBL HERO has multiple custom settings designed to improve the appearance of aging skin and treat conditions such as rosacea, acne, melasma, pigmented lesions and sun spots. It can treat large body areas or precision-target small skin imperfections like acne scars. And it uses ComfortCool technology that keeps skin cool, thus avoiding the need for numbing cream.
Patients can experience exceptional results in as little as one treatment. And there’s minimal downtime, with a typical BBL HERO session lasting between 10-30 minutes under the supervision of our expert clinicians.
Our BBL HERO also has a Hair Removal setting to eliminate unwanted hair in any location from underarms to bikini line, face, back, chest, neck and legs. Please note it’s generally less effective for removal of naturally light coloured hair.

BBL Hero (Broadband Light High Energy Rapid Output) is faster, uses a shorted pulse width, has increased peak power and twice the cooling capacity of its previous iteration, allowing you to enjoy improved skin tone and texture in a quarter of the time.
BBL HERO can be used to safely treat skin types 1-5 (on the Fitzpatrick Scale of skin types). BBL HERO's integrated chilling system will maintin desired skin teperature to within one degree.
While you are very welcome to discuss the use of anesthetic with us beforehand, there should be no need to use anything. this is because of the integrated chill plate in BBL HERO which will maintain a comfortable temperature throughout.
Yes - Forever Bare BBL® for hair reduction is effective on most skin types, including very fair skin. We are happy to discuss this further at a Skin Consultation (see below)
